It’s ‘officially’ December and I want to start by wishing you a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays………or whatever the correct PC-term is supposed to be these days.
So (for MOST businesses) December is the last month of your fiscal year to ‘make-up-ground’ to hit your annual budget or to help ‘pad’ those numbers for an already great 2021. But, when it comes to the bottom-line: “Too Much is Never Enough”……….am I wrong? ;-)
Today, we’re going to talk about finding the right customers (or prospects) for your SPECIFIC business.
If I’ve heard it once – I’ve heard it a thousand times……..”But EVERYONE is our customer. They just don’t know what we have to offer them”. Or, better yet, when it comes to their Marketing Strategy: “We just throw spaghetti against the wall and see what sticks”. Well. if you’re McDonalds and have a BAZILLION Dollars in your Marketing Budget, you can probably afford to do this………but it’s still WRONG.
Keyword ConteXtual Targeting
ConteXtual targeting is used to match keyword-targeted ads (also referred to as automatic placements) to sites within a Search Engine Network.
In October 2020, Google was ranked first amongst the most visited multi-platform web properties in the United States with just over 270 million U.S. unique visitors and a market share of 61.4 percent among the leading U.S. search engine providers. But, what about the other 39% of people who DON’T use Google? There are <literally> HUNDREDS of Search Engines that are out there. But, as Digital Marketers, we don’t have the time nor resources to place our messages on ALL of them.
But, at Bullseye Marketing we are Search Engine ‘agnostic’, which means that IF you’re part of OUR network, it doesn’t matter who <or when> someone is searching for a Keyword that matches-up with what you’re trying to let them know what you do or sell……….we WILL find them. Also, it does’t matter what search engine they are using to ‘look it up’. If hey are looking, they WILL know about you. We can’t guarantee that they’ll click on your ad (or even buy it from you), but you will <at least> be ‘IN the conversation’. And that’s all you can really ask, right? If they didn’t know about you before——-they will now!
One of my favorite movies is The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. Hands-down, THE best line of that movie sums up why I created Bullseye Marketing Group: “There are a lot of people who are out there searching for you………we just want to make it easier for them find you”. It’s MY job to connect YOU with your Customers or Prospects……in the easiest and most cost-effective way that I can It’s that simple.
And YES……..keyword targeting can (& does) help out with your SEO, but at BMG, when someone searches for a Keyword that we’ve identified as something that will help drive business to your website or store-front – we serve digital banner ads to them……even after they’ve done their research. That’s called: TOMA! Top of Mind Advertising. If they don’t know about you, they won’t buy from you.
It’s estimated that Google processes approximately 63,000 search queries every second, translating to 5.6 billion searches per day and approximately 2 trillion global searches per year. The average person conducts between three and four searches each day. People ARE out there looking for you, let Bullseye Marketing help them find YOU!!
